SFCHC is honored to announce that Assemblywoman Luz Rivas has secured $2 million in state funding to open a satellite healthcare clinic in Panorama City. Thanks to her leadership and vision, low-income individuals and families will be able to enjoy a safe home and quality healthcare in one location.

The new SFCHC satellite clinic will be constructed within the footprint of the Corazón del Valle housing project that is currently under development by Holos Communities, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating safe and equitable living spaces. Through the generosity of project partners, this beautifully designed housing development will help increase health equity, assist the unhoused and strengthen our community.

A special thanks to Perkins & Will for providing pro bono architectural and design services for this project, and to Thornton Tomasetti and tk1sc for contributing their engineering expertise. In addition, the Valley Economic Alliance and Goodwill Southern California played a vital role cultivating community and industry support for this project.

“Corazón del Valle is a direct result of community leaders working in partnership to build a healthier, sustainable environment for the most vulnerable and underserved,” said SFCHC Chief Executive Officer Audrey Simons. “When our satellite clinic opens in Summer 2024, it will be possible for our providers to offer a full range of medical, dental and behavioral health services. When we empower individuals and families to take charge of their own health and wellbeing, it benefits our entire community.”
