The Boy Scouts were on to something: it’s better to be prepared. Whether it’s against an aggressive football tackle, an extra-hard piece of candy, or the infamous “something going around”, SFCHC can help you be ready for the unexpected.

It’s that time of year when kids and teens prepare to go back to school. Normally we’d be talking about recommended vaccinations against chicken pox, hepatitis, MMR, and others. Those are still important, but 2025 certainly hasn’t been an ordinary year.

The Torch Run is the largest public awareness campaign and grassroots fundraiser for Special Olympics, helping to provide year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Scheduled for completion next fall, the clinic will offer residents and neighbors healthcare services ranging from primary and pediatric care to the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.

Launched about a year ago, SFCHC’s FEAST (Food, Education, Action, Support, Together) program is designed to support each individual’s physical, emotional and mental health.

The CPHT initiative is a new model of public health service delivery launched by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in collaboration with community partners.
