Last May, construction commenced on SFCHC’s new satellite clinic that will be located within the Corazón del Valle affordable housing community in Panorama City. This recently completed 180-unit complex, developed by HOLOS Communities, offers safe, stable and sustainable housing for vulnerable populations in the San Fernando Valley.

Scheduled for completion next fall, the clinic will offer residents and neighbors healthcare services ranging from primary and pediatric care to the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.

“We are excited to see construction underway at our new satellite clinic and look forward to opening our doors to the community,” said SFCHC CEO Audrey Simons. “This brings us one step closer to ensuring individuals and families have access to quality, compassionate healthcare close to home. We are thankful to be part of a community-wide effort to assist the unhoused, improve public health and increase sustainability.”

Designed to meet diverse needs, Corazón del Valle includes a combination of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The complex prioritizes accessibility by allocating half of its units as permanent supportive housing for individuals facing disabilities, dealing with chronic illnesses or emerging from homelessness.

Corazón del Valle also integrates sustainable design features, including solar panels and a greywater recycling system that supports eco-friendly landscaping. These elements reduce environmental impact while helping to lower utility costs for residents. The development is located on Lanark Street, near the planned East San Fernando Valley Light Rail line, to enhance access to public transportation.
