SFCHC joined organizations across the country in observing National Health Center Week, Aug. 2-8. This year’s theme, “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most,” recognized the important role health centers play in expanding access to affordable, high-quality care to the communities they serve.
Throughout the week, SFCHC participated in several special observances. Staff Appreciation Day on Aug. 3 recognized employees for the dedication and compassion they bring to their work, while Patient Appreciation Day on Aug. 4 celebrated the individuals and families who trust SFCHC with their care.
The following two days placed a special focus on health conditions and specific patient populations. On Aug. 5, SFCHC highlighted diabetes, with an emphasis on helping individuals prevent and manage this common chronic condition. On Aug. 6, the focus turned to mothers and babies under 6 months old, marked by the es in need.
The observance also offered an opportunity to celebrate the strong connections among the clinic’s staff, patients and community. As SFCHC marks 100 years of serving as a healthcare home for generations of local families, our commitment to compassionate, accessible care for all continues to guide our mission.
