Precious Querubin has devoted her career to strengthening public health programs and improving access to services for communities that have historically faced barriers to healthcare. Since joining the SFCHC Board of Directors in 2022, she has brought that same commitment to helping the clinic create an environment where every patient feels welcomed, respected and understood.
“As a woman of color, I bring a personal understanding of the experiences and needs of the communities we serve,” Querubin said. “Serving on the Board gives me an opportunity to advocate for services that are equitable, culturally responsive and accessible to all.”
Querubin was first introduced to SFCHC through her work in the Community Health Department at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. The two organizations have built a strong partnership over the years, united by a shared commitment to improving the health of individuals and families throughout the San Fernando Valley.
She quickly recognized that SFCHC’s greatest strength is the people behind its mission. “Every staff member, provider and leader shares a genuine passion for serving the community,” she said. “You can see it in the way they support patients and one another, and continually strive to create an inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone is treated with dignity and compassion.”
Querubin has worked in healthcare since 2006, including 16 years with Providence Health & Services. Today, she owns a public health consulting firm that works with health departments, healthcare organizations and nonprofit agencies to strengthen operations, strategic planning, leadership development and community engagement.
Throughout her career, she has led large-scale public health initiatives, launched community-based programs, secured grant funding and helped organizations improve services that positively affect the people they serve. At the heart of that work is her passion for building systems that create lasting, meaningful change.
“SFCHC is much more than a healthcare provider. It is a trusted community partner,” she said. “The organization meets people where they are and responds to the unique needs of diverse communities. I am honored to serve alongside such dedicated staff and Board members who are committed to making high-quality, equitable healthcare accessible to everyone.”
Outside of her professional and volunteer roles, Querubin enjoys an active family life with her wife and 9-year-old daughter, who keeps them busy and adventurous. Together, they organize events throughout East Los Angeles that bring families together through food, culture and shared experiences. Querubin can also often be found on the pickleball court, where she enjoys competing in tournaments and spending time with family and friends.
